Accounting and Tax Assistant needed in local CPA office that provides quality services to both businesses and individuals. Geared towards tax preparation, office provides various services that include but are not limited to preparation of financials, payroll, sales tax, and ongoing tax planning. Individual must be a self starter, good at multitasking, and enjoy working with others to again provide the best services to clients. A liaison between client and staff, assistant will also contribute to client communication, building professional relationships.
Duties include: Answering phones, scheduling appointments, basic bookkeeping and accounting, preparation of payroll and payroll reports, preparation of tax material, general organizational skills, and overall support during tax season.
Experience desired with knowledge in accounting software; individual must be technology savvy with experience in excel, PDFs, email, and additional computer functions. Education also desired with passion in the accounting field. Professional and effective communication a must, as well as an individual who likes working with others on a day to day basis.
