    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Adult Probation Services Division (APSD) of the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) seeks a talented individual in the capacity of Specialist IV within the Administrative Services Unit. The APSD Administrative Services Unit provides oversight of the Drug Enforcement Account (DEA), the statewide vehicle fleet, research, statistics, and performance measures. Additionally, the Administrative Services Unit conducts ad hoc reporting, and conducts Operational Reviews of the Arizona adult probation departments.

    This position has four primary functions: DEA Administration and Management, Adult Fleet Management, Operational Review Assistant, and other duties as assigned. Under Adult Fleet, this position maintains an automated tracking system of the Division vehicles and serves as liaison to other AOC personnel concerning vehicle use, serves as liaison between the Arizona Department of Administration, Arizona Department of Transportation and county probation department personnel concerning proper state vehicle usage and maintenance, maintains and updates the statewide adult/juvenile vehicle ACCESS database, reviews and reconciles monthly fleet expenditures, processes biannual vehicle registration renewals, tracks required vehicle preventative maintenance and ensures county probation department and Administrative Office of the Courts compliance. DEA responsibilities include: completion of the annual application for funding, design, and implementation of cycle plans, funding agreements, and quarterly and closing reports, as well as performing audits of sub-grantees to ensure compliance with all grant requirements.

    This position is also responsible for assisting the Operational Review Specialists with data collection and analysis via the statewide adult probation database (Adult Probation Enterprise Tracking System), as well as other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public or Business Administration, or Behavioral Science or related field, and at least three years of professional level work experience. Directly related experience may substitute for the educational requirements. In addition, the selected candidate must have considerable knowledge of English, grammar, and punctuation skills, as well as be proficient in Microsoft Office Software. This role requires someone with bcomputer and people skills, basic accounting and statistical skills, and the ability to handle a high volume of time-sensitive work. This individual must also have effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with the public, court staff, and agency professionals. The preferred candidate will have knowledge of Arizona laws and Arizona judicial code pertaining to adult probation.

    Travel level: Up to 25%.
