    Exciting Responsibilities.

    The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration of our benefits plans including billing, enrollment, auditing, and eligibility reporting functions. They will also be the primary contact for benefits questions and issues for all employees. There will be on-going special projects, such as new vendor implementation, open enrollment, full scale 401k audits, etc. Will be the primary contact for the leave of absence program. Will maintain the benefits HRIS function to include all reporting functions.

      • Provides excellent customer service by efficiently resolving benefit problems with vendor(s) and/or HR Department by working directly with employees and their healthcare providers, when appropriate.
      • Manages all reporting related to benefits.
      • Develops, generates and follows up on all eligibility reports and processes, including maintenance and regular auditing of enrollment data; including the 401 contribution file.
      • Sends notifications to new hires for a variety of audits when necessary
      • Develops, distributes and maintains special report requests related to special projects and new programs.
      • Responsible for the Leave Program to include all communication and reporting

    Keys to success.

    • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
    • A minimum of 1-3 years of benefits administration experience in area(s) such as: medical, dental, Flexible Spending, 401k, and other employer provided benefits.
    • Experience in a self-funded insurance environment preferred.
    • Must have proven communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective as part of a team; interact with customers, managers, and coworkers in a professional, courteous manner.
    • Outstanding communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
    • Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment, meet deadlines, think critically, problem solve, focused attention to detail and ability to self start .
    • ADP HRIS/Payroll systems experience strongly preferred.
    • Proficient technical knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Access, Word, etc.)
    • Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience which fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

      PHYSICAL ASPECTS: Constant hand and finger dexterity; occasional grasping and manipulating; constant eye and hand coordination; occasional to frequent bending, squatting; stooping; occasional twisting and rotating of trunk, neck, arms and legs; working with arms bent and extended; frequent standing and walking; occasional to frequent sitting; frequent pushing, pulling and stretching. Frequent vocalization, manual and auditory dexterity.
