AR/Admin Assistent (Mesa)

Looking to fill an Accounts Receivable/Cust Service position in our Mesa Office. We are looking for a detail-oriented team player with a strong customer focus. It’s never a dull day and your responsibilities will not be limited to, but will include the following:

Essential Functions:
<br>
• Receives and verifies all vouchers for payment processing, including matching of vouchers to receiving documents and purchase orders.
<br>
• Processes invoices; ensures proper coding, taxing and amounts.
<br>
• Analyzes and processes adjustments to vendor accounts (credit memos, vendor returns.)
<br>
• Maintains all accounts payable files and reports including a current filing status on vendor invoices.
<br>
• Prepares accounts payable check run/Commission Statements monthly.
<br>
• Maintains accounts receivable records and prepares statement of open invoice for customers, makes collection calls on past due accounts. Prepares daily deposit and delivers to designated financial institution.
<br>
• Print and mail Accounts Receivable statements on a weekly basis.
<br>
• Responsible for all manual checks including preparation, maintenance of appropriate logs and files, and distribution of checks.
<br>
• Answers all vendor inquiries relating to payment of invoices.
<br>
• Reconciles vendor statements and provides documentation to vendors.
<br>
• Applies payments to Wholesale customer accounts on a monthly basis.
<br>
• Processes credit applications.
<br>
• Assists in month-end close as needed.
<br>
• Perform other duties as assigned. Must have a “whatever it takes” attitude.

Required Qualifications:
<br>
• Associate’s degree or equivalent and at least one to three years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
<br>
• Familiarity with general accepted accounting principles required; experience in QuickBooks a MUST.
<br>
• Proven customer service skills, resourceful and demonstrates initiative with an established bias for action in a team environment.
<br>
• Proven project management skills, meets deadlines, and demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
<br>
• Demonstrated interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills.
<br>
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and database programs.
