From this submission we will be creating for 2012 our new line of t-shirt and hat products. Art submitted may be chosen for either of these projects or may also be used in consideration for our extensive souvenir lines. If you do not want your art used for certain items or if you have a usage fee minimum, this MUST be listed on your signed “artist” Information Form”.  
 
For this submission we are looking to vastly increase our screen printing production and we are in need of freelance graphic designers/artists who are experienced in both the setup and creation of artwork layouts for screen printing and embroidered hats.

Submission Guidelines (Please Read Carefully):  
General Information:  
 
The “Artist Information Form” must accompany all art submissions. This form is  
attached or you may also download it from our website. By signing this form, you agree that the artwork being submitted to Smith-Southwestern is in fact your work and that you have all rights to use this work for any such purpose. 
 
Your art will only be used for the disclosed purpose and nothing else. If we do have a need to use the art for other purposes we would first send you a request to use the art and a subsequent fee schedule with the request.  
 
All art furnished to Smith-Southwestern will not be used with our express permission of the artist.  
Please do not submit art that you would not be able to provide permission for the intended use. 
 
All art submitted should be in a smaller JPG format.  
 
Please see artwork specifications below for details on the acceptable formats. 
 
Art may be submitted on CD or via email. We would prefer to review web links if possible. If you have a lot of art to submit please send them on CD. 
All CD’s received will not be returned, they will be filed with your contact and information. We can then reference these CD’s for future projects. 
 
After reviewing the submissions an email stating which images will be used and the products they will be used for.  
Once that decision is made we would need you to submit to us the high res files in the listed format. If the format is not correct we may ask for you to revise your file for our format.

Fee schedule: 
If this submission of hat and t-shirt artwork we are offering a range of pay from $25.00 for more simplistic art and up to $200.00 for more complicated art and the separation process. These fees are inclusive of any changes needed to the art after submission. 
 
Format: 
All art created for t-shirts needs to be in either editable vector format or separated in Photoshop for screen printing process. Art should not contain more than 10 total colors. 
 
Art created for hats needs to be in vector format.  
 
 
Each image must be saved as its own unique numeric or alphanumeric number, including  
artist or company name within the file name. Example, putting your name or initials at the beginning or end of the file name, or part of your company name incorporated into the file name in any manner is acceptable. Be sure all images on the disk are sorted into folders based on our categories of current needs. Please do not put the same image in multiple folders. Label all disks with your name and telephone number.
