The Assistant Distribution Technician-Lab personnel will participate as a productive team member to execute Science Care policies, procedures, and job duties. Documentation of these job activities will be recorded legibly and accurately. Primary duties are the distribution functions and activities, such as shipment management, order management, tissue management, tissue storage and tissue tracking, hazardous waste disposal, cleaning, and driver duties. Also, technician will assist in the following laboratory tasks: tissue recovery and processing, wrapping, documentation, and events. Performs other duties as assigned. Additionally, technician will perform all assigned donor and tissue management, facility, and quality program activities. 
 
Scope and Responsibilities: 
* Support the mission, vision, values of Science Care.

* Actively participate in quality program activities.

* Utilize safe lab practices and maintain a clean working environment. 
* In-depth understanding of software programs: SC Donors, Great Plains, MS Office. 
* Complete controlled documentation accurately and timely. 
* Ability to independently perform distribution activities: daily shipping and receiving duties, wrapping, staging and packaging tissues or ashes, tissue delivery, and DC and donor pick up, and laboratory assisting duties 
* Inventory maintenance 
* Availability for before/after hours and weekend distribution duties when needed. 
* Additional tasks to include driver, lab, and event duties as needed. 
 
 
Skills/ Requirements 
Experience and Requirements: 
* Entry level position: 1-4+ years of relevant work experience, bachelors degree, advanced certifications, or combination thereof a plus. 
* Individual who is self-motivated, professional; detail oriented, with excellent oral and written communication skills. 
* Ability to multi-task several projects and ability to function in fast paced environment 
* Ability to function successfully in a team environment. 
* Commitment to superior quality and professional service. 
* Ability to professionally manage confidential information. 
* Knowledge of pertinent AATB, DOT, IATA standards. 
* Knowledge of human/gross anatomy, medical terminology 
* Experience in healthcare or medical science recommended. 
* Clean driving record 
* Forklift Certification a plus
