We are currently hiring buffer / detail (Final Prep) team members for our 99th Ave & Thunderbird collision repair locations.

Job Description:
Car polisher / detailers wash the exterior of vehicles using various cleaning solutions. They also wax and buff vehicles using clothes and buffing machines. Vacuuming to remove dirt and debris is also performed. Responsibilities also include cleaning the upholstery and surfaces in vehicles, applying preservation chemicals to surfaces for protection and also removing any spots and stains. They may also clean inside engine compartments.

Job Duties:
Car polishers / detailers’ job duties include using various techniques to polish and clean vehicles. They use abrasives, clothes, paintbrushes, scrapers and scrubbers to clean vehicles inside and out. Car polishers / detailers use a variety of polishes and waxes for the preservation and protection of vehicles. They also vacuum vehicles using carpet cleaning equipment or other types of vacuums. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to janitorial and porter duties as required by the shop.

Polisher / Detailers use various hoses and pump lines to wash vehicles; they clean other vehicle items such as mats and place on drying racks. Car detailers use air compressors and cloths to dry vehicle surfaces. Polishing wheels and washing windows are also part of the detailing process.

PLEASE NOTE: The work area is wet and noisy so unrestricted mobility and physical lifting of 70lbs is often required.

Requirements:
Car detailers must be able to understand formulas to mix cleaning solutions; they also mix paint and other chemicals. The ability to operate cleaning equipment is essential. Car detailers must also possess the ability to efficiently operate hand tools or power tools. They also need to be able to follow safety polices of their employer.
