Automotive Shop Manager (East Central Phoenix)

Shop Manager needed for busy, independently owned and well established facility in Phoenix. We work as a team to service our customers’ needs and help facilitate efficiency in the shop. You must have the ability to handle a customer from initial write up, to sourcing parts, preparing estimates, selling work, finalizing repair orders and following up after the sale. We are seeking an individual looking for permanent employment looking to grow.
Manager is responsible for leading the all activities within a shop to achieve positive sales results. Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through the direction of shop staff in the performance of quality vehicle repair and maintenance services. Insure quality service work is performed. Lead and manage the human resource at the facility to promoting effectiveness of every employee and promoting teamwork within the shop. Promote the shop and its services through exceptional customer interactions, making sure the shop is clean and presentable at all times, and by participating in sales promotions applicable to the shop. Implement maintenance programs for shop equipment. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety procedures.• Must be able to work Monday – Friday managing the day to day operations.
• Five (5) years’ leadership experience in an automotive repair facility. History of improving facility sales while also retaining customers loyal to the shop.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills. Ability to positively relate and communicate with customers, including outstanding telephone skills. Must possess the communication skills to present automotive services and products to customers
• Prior responsibilities of leading, motivating and counseling employees under his/her direction on issues such as safety, quality, and policy and procedure administration/implementation.
• Work and lead in a TEAM atmosphere
• Experience in implementing policies and procedures in the areas of financial control, safety, human resources, and environmental compliance.
• Must have computer knowledge and skills Knowledge of point-of-sale software programs. We currently utilize Mitchell Manager.
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Bilingual a plus
