Senior Medical Billing Specialist – Experienced only

Medical Billing company based in Mesa is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist, with a variety of billing, analytical and office skills. This billing professional will
• analyze medical records for billing-related information;
• accurately code procedures according to coding guidelines and appropriate reimbursement requirements;
• post anesthesia charges and consultations with medical providers to clarify information;
• submit electronic medical claims, follow up as needed with insurance carriers, post payments and monitor accounts receivable.

This individual will also prepare daily and monthly reports and data from reports for research or analysis purposes, as well as provide appropriate appeal levels for specific plans and set up new provider files, including software setup and implementation.

This position requires outstanding billing accuracy and productivity, knowledge of ICD9 and CPT Coding and Claim Collection Procedures. 4-6 years of medical billing and coding experience, advanced level knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat (pdf) files, customer service and telephone skills; high school diploma or equivalent required. Experience with anesthesia billing or PPM Billing Software and PPM Report Writer a definite plus!
