If you are seeking an accounting job with a variety of work and a small office team atmosphere, this job is for you! Located in Old Town Scottsdale, this position will utilize your experience with payroll and payroll taxes, sales taxes, inventory accounting and bookkeeping, to ensure that our awesome clients get the bookkeeping support they need from our CPA firm.
Our CPA firm is small (5-7 employees), well-established and busy, with a laid-back team and a very professional reputation. We offer an excellent working environment and salary based on experience, as well as an opportunity for growth within the firm.
Duties will include payroll and payroll tax processing, setting up accounts, monthly bookkeeping in QB, applying for appropriate licenses, preparation of monthly sales tax reports and special projects assigned by the Bookkeeping Manager. Knowledge of accounting as it relates to inventory and inventory management systems is a real plus! The job will also include client contact, gathering information and training clients.
Requirements include three years of experience with payroll taxes (multiple states preferred), sales taxes (multiple states and Arizona cities preferred), inventory management, and an in-depth understanding of payroll and sales tax reporting. Software knowledge, including Microsoft Office and QuickBooks required. Knowledge of Paycycle, ATX, Fishbowl or Acctivate is helpful.
