The Nomadic Agency is looking for a Business Data Analyst. As a Business Data Analyst, you will be responsible for developing approaches to analyze and extract data from our proprietary databases. Using standard Microsoft SQL tools, you will construct complex queries to produce actionable information to inform client business decisions. You will works directly with our technical staff to identify and understand data sources required for our business reporting needs.

Job Function
• Perform data extracts, simple programming, and report generation functions
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to facilitate management decision making
• Be responsible for leading tasks and small projects as assigned and ensuring the quality of the deliverables
• Maintain client relationships through the delivery of high quality work
• Provide support relevant to areas of expertise
• Work with development as needed to define current and future data analytics and reporting

Required Skills
• BS in Computer Science preferred
• At least 3-5 years of work experience and working knowledge of database architecture
• Proficiency in SQL query language
• Working knowledge of performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and templates
• Proven ability to derive meaning and actionable business intelligence insights from data
• Detail oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy, consistency and quality

• Ability to articulate his/her ideas; consider options presented by others; and reach an informed, balanced technical opinion
• Outstanding written and oral communication and listening skills for both technical and non technical audiences
• Ability to prepare and present quantitative information in a visually appealing manner
• Ability to adapt to change, works well under pressure, and be able to multi-task, while maintaining a positive outlook
