MicroStrategy seeks motivated Business Intelligence Consultants who want to be a part of a fast-paced, seasoned team of professionals. At MicroStrategy you will work on end to end software implementations that are purely BI in scope. Consultants work directly with MicroStrategy’s clients to facilitate the use of their Business Intelligence products. MicroStrategy consultants tackle the most demanding assignments, from departmental data mining engagements to enterprise-wide e-business solutions implemented by cross-functional teams.
 

 
Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
 

 
* Provide billable consulting support to achieve account objectives and production success. Services may include: product installation and implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit to meet customer business requirements
 
* Perform information systems needs assessment, information gathering and recommend appropriate business systems and IT infrastructure for MicroStrategy customers
 
* Perform data modeling, application development, technical product assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements
 
* Specify business systems (inputs, outputs, data, human and automated interfaces) to meet information processing objectives for MicroStrategy’s software platform
 
* Contribute to knowledge capital via project documentation and best practice solutions
 
* Mentor other consultants
 
* Participate in sales activities, when appropriate
 
* Maintain and grow knowledge of BI functionality and technical skills
 

 
Job Requirements:
 

 
* Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical or related field is required
 
* At least 1-7 years Consulting or IT Consulting Experience
 
* Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and Teradata, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP
 
* Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience (SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, JavaScript)
 
* Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements
 
* Application knowledge of the following industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Telecommunications, Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare and ERP
 
* Proven analytical and problem solving skills
 
* Experience with implementation methodologies
 
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral; Ability to build and deliver presentations to all levels of the business and effectively explain complex issues and concepts in simple, understandable language
 
* Ability to mentor and lead a team of consultants
 
* Ability to work under minimal supervision
 
* Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills
 
* Ability to travel up to 75% (travel is within the Phoenix Metro area or within the Western Region)
