As a Business Systems Analyst you will provide expertise in the development and analysis of requirements and internal processes for multiple company initiatives and products. You will interact with external customers and internal software developers, test engineers and other technical and functional support staff to help determine and document business and functional requirements. You will recommend alternative approaches to satisfying business requirements based on detailed analysis.

The Business Systems Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert on system functionality for all products and processes for customization and deployment. You will provide expertise of requirements gathering principles, processes and methods and will be responsible for ensuring that the documentation standards are applied and that all requirements are easily accessible and understandable.

The Business System Analyst will further provide project management expertise for prioritizing the completion of requirements and ensuring full understanding and coordination between all business units. You will create task lists and related estimates for the level of effort and ensure that system development life cycle methodologies are adhered to.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field) and 3 years technical experience (writing business requirements and/or technical specifications, Quality Assurance or related), or
• 5+ years technical experience

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with clinical data systems or in a healthcare setting
• Experience working within a regulated environment
• Strong understanding of varying software development life cycle methodologies
• Strong understanding of varying requirement documentation methodologies
• Highly driven, positive attitude, team player and self-motivated
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to generate\execute SQL queries
• Experience performing peer review
