GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Below is a description of basic job duties though other related duties may become necessary as directed by Management.
 

 
* Assist residents with activities of daily living as designated in care plan (i.e., dressing, toileting, hair care, bathing).
 
* Meal preparation and feeding.
 
* Make routine rounds as scheduled.
 
* Light housekeeping.
 
* Assist residents with clothing choices: appropriate for the days weather, clean and stain-free.
 
* Assist with incontinent residents, routinely checking clothing and linens to keep residents clean and dry.
 
* Bathe residents as scheduled or needed.
 
* Assist residents with ambulation and use of walkers, canes, wheelchairs, etc.
 
* Assist residents during meal times in the dining area.
 
* Encourage residents to participate in activities.
 
* Routinely check with residents to ensure resident care needs are being met.
 
* Prepare residents for activities, meals, appointments, etc.
 
* Clean up spills by residents
 

 
Skills / Requirements
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
 
* Must speak and write in ENGLISH
 
* Must be 21 years of age.
 
* Must be high school graduate or equivalent.
 
* Must have current CPR and First Aid certifications.
 
* Negative TB test certificate required (valid if within 6 months)
 
* Prior experience in senior services REQUIRED.
 
* Active caregiver certification REQUIRED (Supervisory, Personal, and Directed)
 
* Car insurance and reliable transportation
 
* Must be able to pass a criminal background and Drug Screen
 
* Valid driver’s license
