Children’s Services Manager (Oracle/Grant)

  • Duties:
     
    1. Responsible to Director of Human Services
     
    2. Responsible for recommending for hire, training, supervision and evaluation of direct support professionals, AmeriCorps and volunteers in children’s services
     
    3. Responsible for contract, licensure requirements (DES/DDD, DES/Childcare Licensure, etc.) and accreditation standards are being met including; writing objectives, teaching plans, data collection, behavior management and plans, monthly reports, incident and physical management reporting, etc.
     
    4. Responsible for accountability through participant matrix, individual participant books, DES childcare and DDD reporting, data collection sheets, attendance records, etc. for participants
     
    5. Responsible for communication with parents, caregivers, etc.
     
    6. Responsible for the develop and implement schedules and opportunities for children to gain independence, self help and social skills, make quality use of leisure time (recreation) and meet their objectives in academic and behavioral areas with emphasis on the Arts.
     
    7. Responsible for assuring that self and staff receive 12 continuing education credits per year
     
    8. Assist in marketing and recruiting for all children’s services
     
    9. Assist in contributing information to newsletters, monthly parent calendar/updates, mailing list, etc.
     
    10. Participate in community functions and meetings as a representative of Arts for All, Inc.
     
    11. Assist in the develop of staff schedule
     
    12. Assist in dispensing medication following training
     

     
    Requirements:
     
    1. Minimum Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred with 25 units of early childhood education
     
    2. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
     
    3. Minimum of 2 years experience working in children’s program
     
    4. Minimum of 2 years experience working with children with disabilities
     
    5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual preferred
     
    6. Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, Access, Publisher and Outlook Express
     
    7. Documentation of Class I Fingerprint Clearance card must be provided within 60 days
     
    8. Must provide current certification in CPR, First Aid, CIT I, CIT II and Article
     
    IX within 60 days of employment
