The successful candidate will join a professional team that works directly with our clients to install new networks, support and troubleshoot existing networks, as well as co-locate and host infrastructure. Our clients vary from small (5 – 10 employees) to large (50 – 200 employees) offices.

- 5 to 10 years of professional experience installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting computers and networks

- Consulting experience with interest in variety and passion for helping Clients

- Windows Server, Active Directory, Small Business Server, and Exchange Server

- Support for Microsoft based servers, networks and desktop environments
<br>
- Network management (switches, hubs, routers), Cisco, Citrix, Terminal Services experience

JOB SUMMARY:

As a key member of the core IT Infrastructure team, this position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of network administration including servers, desktop systems, communications, hardware/software and office systems for our clients.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
<br>
Under general direction, this individual is responsible for:
<br>
*Network Administration/Server Support – Oversees the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, training, and special projects; plans, designs and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems
<br>
*Assists in coordinating special projects including network related wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases, and system installation, backup, maintenance and problem solving
<br>
*Designs and operates data center services including virtual server environments
<br>
*Assists in providing network and remote connectivity hardware/software support
<br>
*Maintains LAN user documentation including hardware/software applications, support logs and other related information
<br>
*Researches and recommends network and server hardware and software
<br>
*Assists in installing, designing, configuring, and maintaining system hardware and software
<br>
*Analyzes and troubleshoots the network logs and tracks the nature and resolution of problems
<br>
*Monitors usage to ensure security of data and access privileges
<br>
*Installs, supports and maintains network servers and appliances
<br>
*Establishes and maintains user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and security
<br>
*Performs daily server tape backups
<br>
*Researches, analyses, monitors, troubleshoots and resolves server or data network problems

*Develops, maintains and implements network support, and archiving procedures

*Researches and evaluates new technologies related to computer networking

*Assists in planning, coordinating and consulting with clients for hardware/software purchases

*Recommends and specifies the purchase of related products and services

*Keeps current regarding new hardware/software products for system enhancements

*Performs scheduled network tasks, including updating anti-virus definition files, monitoring network servers, and providing internet and intranet user support, and specialized training.

*Establishes and maintains user e-mail accounts

*Work as the single point of contact for clients

*Recommend upgrades and develop proposals for solutions centered around Microsoft Server products

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate must have the following verifiable:

Education / Experience:
<br>
*Diploma or substantial course work in Computer Science, Management Information Systems and / or Microsoft and applicable certifications
<br>
*5 years current experience as a network administrator on a small to medium sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies
<br>
*Consulting experience with interest in variety and passion for helping Clients
<br>
*Experience working with multiple clients and multiple networks
<br>
