Complete Description:
? Develops expertise in instructional design process methodology including: analysis of the audience, job tasks, the development of curriculum maps, storyboards, flowcharts, performance objectives, testing strategies, and learning activities.
? Assists in the development of Technology Based training (TBT) and instructor-led training (ILT) packages with guidance from more senior staff.
? Develops skill in thinking end-to-end when producing content and assessments.
? Assists in the delivery of occasional instructor-led training programs and Train-the-trainer on curriculum developed if appropriate.
? Enters content into templates or tools designed to create instructor’s manuals, participant guides, job aids and other trainer support tools for instructor-led training
? Primarily focused on writing the course content.
? Delivers training programs, workshops and classes.
? Manages the classroom through effective facilitation processes that enable efficient delivery of curriculum and a training environment conducive to learning
? Uses up-to-date knowledge and skills associated with the content being delivered and often acts as a subject matter expert in the technical/functional area of the content.
? Classrooms set up properly (materials, technology, space)
? Actively builds and manages relationships with team members and internal customers
? Recognizes and works through resistance or setbacks with minimal coaching
? Ability to work with client SMEs to build rapport and understand client standard operating procedures.KNOWLEDGE / BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE
? Bachelors Degree in Business, Education, Communication or related field, or equivalent relevant experience preferred
? Experience delivering extended (multiple week) training programs
? Proficient in formal platform training
? Classroom training experience in a variety of venues that may include technology, sales, or leadership learning activities
? Develops, maintains and applies training and adult learning theory expertise
? Flexible and creative in identifying training solutions
? Basic written / verbal language and grammar skills
? Basic familiarity with microcomputer hardware and operating systems (Windows & Macintosh)
? Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Visio, Microsoft project, and QuickBaseSubject matter expertise in one or more areas where learning materials are being developed• Hard skills — computer savy — Microsoft Suite of products; elearning (Articulate or Camtasia) helpful; video skills — love to have but not necessary; webex delivery of training helpful
• Soft skills — mulity task; communicate across different levels in an organization; present content in clear, concise, fun method
• No telecommuting. Onsite 40 hours as they need to be in classrooms capturing content/knowledge and then building course materials and possibly deliverying in train-the-trainer capacity.- Location: Tucson, AZ
