Corpedia, the leader in risk assessment and e-learning for ethics and compliance, currently has a need for a contract E-Learning Writer. The Writer will help produce timely and high quality e-learning courses, primarily by writing course contents, interactive elements, and assessments. This project will require 20 to 30 hours per week for approximately 4 months.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Write accurate and high quality course scripts on a variety of legal, ethical, and compliance topics.
• Research laws, industry trends, and enforcement histories to determine course content and structure; work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and applicability
• Work closely with editors to ensure quality of grammar, spelling, tone and voice, flow, style and sound instructional design.
• Assess and accepts or rejects edits based on editor and SME suggestions.
• Inputs edited copy into delivery mechanisms as needed.
• Works with other team members to ensure timely delivery of high-quality documentation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in English, Journalism, Instructional Design or equivalent
• Two to five years experience in writing and instructional design.
• Prior experience with e-learning courseware preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand state, federal, and international ordinances, laws and guidelines.
• Ability to write in a clear, succinct style and develop interactive and engaging content that promotes learning.
• Ability to apply instructional design standards to multimedia courseware.
• Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
