Responsibilities:
Our client, a leading provider of medical systems and devices is seeking a senior level Director of Human Resources to head off their R&D (Research & Development) department. This position will be essential in the development and execution of strategic HR initiatives and ensuring execution of successful HR functions across the business unit at all levels.
Essential Functions:
• Provides counsel to leadership to ensure performance planning is in alignment with corporate goals/objectives.
• Identifies and analyzes trends in human resources and formulates strategies for action plans to address issues identified (i.e., proactive training, turnover/retention strategies, career development modeling, etc.).
• In partnership with the Corporate HR leadership, executes on strategies for effective recruiting and staffing initiatives, talent management and total compensation. Provides direction to HR and management team on execution of compensation strategy.
• In concert with Senior management, identifies current and future organizational needs/structure and works with HR team to ensure alignment within business unit and in the company.
• In partnership with Sr. Director of HR, leads the identification, development and execution of corporate-wide initiatives (i.e., Cultural Transition, Employee Satisfaction, achievement of policy deployment initiatives associated with Key Business Results, etc.).
• Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.
• May perform other duties as required or assigned.Requirements:
• BA/BS in HR Management or related field; Masters Degree or PHR/SPHR certification preferred
• Minimum of 8 years related experience in a series of progressively more responsible HR, 4 years in a leadership capacity, and 6 years in a high level organizational design, and talent management/employee development
• Must have solid experience in the fundamentals of HR including compensation, training, recruiting, performance management, employee relations, and policy administration
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication, and listening skills
• Demonstrated creative change agent with excellent problem solving skills
• Requires ability to change the thinking of or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations
