EcoScraps collects fruits and vegetables that would end up in the landfill and rot. When this food rots it emits methane gas which damages our environment. Through
our unique and organic process we turn the bad fruits and veggies into a highly nutritious,
100% organic soil amendment. This soil amendment is then bagged and sold through nurseries,
grocery stores and other retail outlets. We have been in business since March 2010. We are a
young and exciting company to work for. We were featured on the cover of Inc. magazine in
May of 2011, Forbes magazine did a story on our CEO and the company, as well as we were on
the Discovery channel in October of 2011 as part of the tv series “The Curiosity Project.” We are
excited to build and grow EcoScraps to help improve our environment and the communities we
live in.We are looking for hardworking, honest and respectful people to work at our production facility
along with drive our truck for pickups/deliveries. We want people that are not looking for just
another job, but people that will find joy in helping improve their environment and community.General Expectations:
-Learn, understand and follow all company rules, facility operations and safety precautions.
-Get all the work done.
-Be trained in and run all equipment that will be used (bobcat, forklift, conveyor belt, bagger,
etc).
-Follow all rules (company rules as well as safety rules).
-Get along well with other employees.
-Be respectful and honest with managers, fellow employees and others
-Be on time to work
-Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
-Experience in LTL dock operations a plus.
-Must be able to lift, carry or move heavy objects.Job Accountabilities:
-Receive and process the produce that is received on a daily basis.
-Processing produce involves de-trashing, grinding, draining and mixing produce.
-Will require driving forklift and bobcat and run conveyor belts and grinders each day
-Perform quality control measures daily
-Mix compost piles with bobcat
-Bag finished product and stack on pallets.
-Load up delivery trucks with finished product.
-Keep all equipment clean and maintained.
-Keep facility organized and clean.Other specific duties (these will be assigned based on skill, desire and other criteria):
-Manage and report inventory levels (raw materials to finished goods)
-Manage, maintain and clean all equipment (make sure all equipment is cleaned and serviced
on a regular basis to avoid technical issues)Competencies:
