Affordable Food Festivals conceptualizes and executes large-scale food festivals in AZ. Our past festivals include the Arizona Barbecue Festival and Arizona Taco Festival in Scottsdale. In spring of 2012, we will produce the Surprise BBQ Festival March 3rd, Tucson Taco Festival April 28th and Arizona Barbecue Festival May 18th. The owners also run EATERAZ.com, a daily local food blog, and host multiple smaller events throughout the year.

We are looking for interns to:
Research
Help execute
Brainstorm
Make initial contact
Manage lists
Work lead-up events
Help design events
Recruit volunteer staff for festivals
Work on site at festivals

Candidates must be 18+, have reliable transportation, strong written and oral communication skills, proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Experience and interest in sales & marketing, PR, event planning, media and/or restaurant/food & beverage industry is ideal. This position is available immediately, will require a minimum of 10 hours per week and is anticipated to last for a 3-5 month period. Please send resume and availability.
