Experienced Freelance Photo Researcher (immediate, part time, off-site position. Hourly rate DOE.)

Job Purpose (Summary)
To find and acquire images for elementary-level educational products from stock agencies, freelance photographers, microstock and public domain sources for new materials. Other responsibilities include logging acquired photos in excel.

Required Skills and Abilities
1. Minimum 2 years experience in photo research, image acquisition and invoicing preferably in publishing. (Knowledge and experience in the business of photography is not the same/equivalent. You MUST have photo research experience and references.)
2. Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
3. Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of PhotoShop applications and InDesign, Adobe Acrobat.
4. Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, ask questions as needed and communicate clearly and professionally.
5. Extreme attention to detail and organization, design sense, and persistence.

Preferred Experience
Publishing experience, especially in educational publishing.
Graphic design and/or liberal arts background a plus.

Candidates will be assessed at time of interview with a short test of basic photo research knowledge.
