HRIS Analyst (Phoenix)

  • Responsibilities:

    Our client in the food service distribution industry is seeking an HRIS Analyst. The primary focus of this position is the support and maintenance of the HRIS system in addition to other systems supported by the IS team. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports HRIS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    Recommend process/customer service improvements as needed.
    Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders as needed.
    HR initiative project management, and provide senior HR management with an assessment of the HRIS impact, scheduling considerations and other information required for a complete business case.
    Provide support for HRIS including, but not limited to, researching and
    resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws, improvements, updates, help desk inquiries, maintain data integrity, etc.
    Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing
    appropriate reporting tools.
    Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
    Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix.
    Train clients on new processes/functionality as well as train new system users.
    Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and
    service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies, examining trends in info, materials, and technique

    Requirements:

    Able to work in a culture with a high level of Integrity, Honesty, Dignity, Respect
    BA/BS in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
    PHR certification or CAPM certification strongly preferred.
    Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Crystal reporting and SQL statements. Experience with an HRIS such as Ceridian,
    PeopleSoft, Lawson or ADP EV2, or Microsoft Dynamics.
    Excellent communication skills both written and verbal is a must.
    Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects and project management
    Minimum of 5 years of HRIS or progressive HR generalist experience with 2 years of project management.
    Must have experience with systems implementation experience including update, design, testing, and execution of enhancements
    Strong understanding of HR and HRIS processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementation.
    Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
    Experience writing reports and analyzing data for employee metrics reporting
    Ability to ensure uncompromised data integrity and to establish schedule for regular checks on the database.
    In-depth knowledge of application design & development and relational databases.
