Human Resources Assistant Director (7th St./Camelback)

The Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of human resources services, policies and procedures in the areas of recruitment, HR planning, employee relations, employee benefit programs, employee safety and wellness, leadership and organizational development and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Oversee recruitment efforts, including writing and placing advertisements and tracking recruitment budget
• Process employee status changes and maintain updated work schedules and employee lists
• Oversee new hire and exit processes
• Oversee employee file maintenance
• Analyze, communicate and administer employee benefit programs and assist with claims issues
• Complete all work-related injury reporting, review restrictions and assist with return to work plans
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment law
• Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems
• Supervise subordinate staff through TTC management system
• Develop and provide staff training
The Assistant Director should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus three years experience in the human resources field; or a high school diploma plus seven years experience working in the human resources field. The Assistant Director must have knowledge of human resources practices and federal, state and local employment laws. At least 2 years of management/supervisory experience is required.
Qualifications: As listed above. Must be at least 21 years of age with a clean MVR. Must be able to pass a criminal and CPS background screening. Must provide proof of education upon hire. Hours are M-F 8a-5p.- Location: 7th St./Camelback
