Job Description:
Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of the IT Director, manages and administers application analysis, programming efforts and support assurance for all internally-written and vendor-provided applications. Advises the IT Director on the evaluation, acquisition and installation of new software and hardware.This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinates new system development and improvements for internally-developed applications.
Coordinates new system acquisitions and improvements for vendor-provided applications.
Provides systems administration and level II support for all vendor-provided and internally-written applications.
Manages systems analysis of all Casino departments and prepares a road map identifying their current state of automation; current manual procedures, automation requirements and interface needs with casino systems.
Establishes and ensures strict adherence to change control procedures.
Understands and applies best practices for internally-written applications.
Understands and applies best practices for quality control, testing and documentation of internally-written applications.
Reviews, evaluates, and makes recommendations on proposals for software and hardware acquisition as required.
Oversees daily work activities and assigns work orders to meet business needs.
Responsible for managing project timelines and ensuring completion.
Participates in the development of the IT programming budget.
Recommends and participates in the development of policies and procedures.
Implements appropriate educational and training programs, to ensure high quality professional staff performance.
Maintains current knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
Maintains a good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
Performs other duties as required.Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required plus five years experience in an application management position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.About Casino Careers:
