IT Business Analyst – 18+ month contract — hourly pay /DOE- Please submit with resume when applying for consideration.
Job Description:
•Facilitate business solutions using industry standard techniques, including the necessary IT and business process components that will enhance the effectiveness of the business operation and delivery the market features requested by the business
•Working with cross-functional business and IT teams, identify, analyze and document business needs / processes and translate these into Detailed Business Requirements, Functional / Technical Design Specifications, Process Flows and / or Use Cases for all assigned projects
•Breakdown high-level business processes into an appropriate level of abstraction to facilitate process analysis and redesign using industry standard business modeling techniques
•Develop, coordinate and implement Test Plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing, ensuring appropriate logging of results
•Support the implementation process by providing expertise to the end-users with respect to use of the system, techniques, best practices, standards and trouble shooting
•Promote / practice consistency and continued process improvements
•Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times, adhering to the Attendances and Time-Keeping Guidelines defined, dressing according to the Dress Code defined, ensuring all work satisfies the Completed Professional Work guidelines and that any working from home privileges are according to the Work From Home guidelines defined.Qualifications:
•Experience facilitating business solutions using industry standard techniques, including the necessary IT and business process components that will enhance the effectiveness of the business operation and delivery the market features requested by the business
•Minimum 5 years of experience in business and systems analysis, with practical experience in all required disciplines, worked within an industry standard methodology
•Minimum 5 years experience in Business Process Engineering, with practical experience in all required disciplines, worked within an industry standard methodology, using industry standard techniques
•Minimum 5 years experience in Quality Assurance, with practical experience in all required disciplines associated with Project Delivery, worked within an industry standard methodology, using industry standard techniques
•Strong core competency skills in documentation, organization, attention to detail, communications, independent / logical / critical thinking, conflict / interpersonal relationship management and business / financial acumen
•Effectively work with various levels of management and end-users with varying technical abilities and business knowledge
•Strong Microsoft Office experience; specifically Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook applicationsSpecific Hard Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Business or Information Technology related field ; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Contact Management systems; Microsoft Access Database software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software; MS Project -Visio.Other Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the banking / financial services industry preferred
Exposure to projects within an AGILE development environment preferred
Experience with Lean / 6-Sigma preferred.
