IT/Business Analyst Position available

We have an entry-level, IT/Business Analyst position available for the right “Rock Star!”

The IT/Business Analyst is responsible for following the entire Systems Development Life Cycle from analysis to test to implementation in coordination with the lead analyst, project manager and development team. The Rock Star candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced software development environment and possess strong communication and collaboration skills to execute projects with demanding deadline expectations.

Essential Job Functions
• Participates in project definition and analysis phases of projects to ensure that business needs and requirements are captured effectively
• Assists the Lead Business Systems Analyst and Project Manager with completing the relevant project and requirements documentation
• Assists in test case definition and documentation as required
• Involved in system and user acceptance testing and implementation phases

Responsibilities include:
• Facilitating client discovery sessions on small to medium-sized projects
• Heavy writing and managing functional requirements
• Leading efforts to develop and document internal processes and procedures
• Developing detailed business process documentation, work flows, use cases and additional project documentation as needed
• Coordinating with development and testing teams to facilitate testing of projects
• Communicating status to project team members and management
• Completing assignments with minimal supervision (final review from BA Lead may be required)

Required Experience:
• 1-2 years’ experience within business operations or systems development
• Experience working in a technology organization or environment preferred
• 1-2 years’ experience with analyzing business information, requirements gathering and data analysis
• 1-2 years’ experience with the requirements, testing and implementation phases of the SDLC
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and motivation skills
• Experience working with teams
• MS-Visio, MS-Office, MS-Project
