We are looking for a experienced and motivated janitors. These are part time positions (some up to 36 hours) with varied schedules.

Summary:
Responsible for keeping client buildings and/or designated locations (including office space and surrounding areas as per project/building specifications) clean and in orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties as needed such as floors, carpets, washing walls, glass cleaning, and trash and debris removal. Performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of repairs or concerns.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include the following (other duties as assigned per project):
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges and squeegees.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors, fixtures and furniture.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors and rearming alarm systems after operating hours.
• Notify managers concerning needs for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Follow all safety and procedural guidelines and report any variance or unsafe situations to management.
• Participate in required company meetings including staff meetings.
Special cleaning crew or project duties and responsibilities may include the following:
• Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water, using commercial cleaning equipment.
• Steam clean or shampoo carpets.
• Finish floors.
• Window washing.
• Clear debris from grounds and parking areas.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow blowers, snowplows, and snow shovels and spread snow melting chemicals.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders and scaffolding to prepare facilities.
• Specialized cleaning as needed.

Ability to read data sheets and operation procedures. Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities listed. Ability to communicate effectively with management. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to manage time. Ability to listen and follow directions. Ability to self motivate and disciple to work without continued direct supervision.
