POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is part of the Probation Automation team in the IT Division at the Arizona Supreme Court. This person works with juvenile probation business partners to identify and document functional requirements, participates in JAD sessions with Developers to explain/clarify requirements that need to be built, assists in the preparation of the test plan, test cases and testing of new functionality, and defect resolution. This position works closely with the Developers and acts as a liaison with the Business users, other Business Analysts and shared resources while communicating appropriately with both the technical and non-technical sides. Additional duties include the preparation of detailed scope statements, high-level design specs, facilitating design reviews, the change request process, cost benefit analysis, traceability matrices, troubleshooting, reengineering processes as well as aiding the Project Manager in planning, scheduling and monitoring of projects.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related area and possess a minimum of 5 years of business systems analysis experience. Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree. Required skills include the ability to analyze the more complex business processes, document detailed business requirements, and translate requirements into high level technical specifications; expected to assist Lead Developer in conducting design reviews and design approval meetings; experience testing to include designing, documenting and executing test plans, scripts, scenarios and matrices; must have desire to understand the details and the drive of someone that wants to improve things; and must have advanced skills in Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities include MS Project, MS SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Report Writer, HP Quick Test Professional and HP Quality Center. Project Manager, Business Analyst and/or Six Sigma certifications would be helpful.
