Lead Laboratory Microbiologist
 

 
Our laboratory is a leading provider of microbiological and chemical services to a variety of industries, including medical device, pharmaceutical and agricultural industries. We also provide NIST traceable calibration and analytical services to sterilizers and sterile device manufacturers.
 

 
We are currently seeking an experienced Laboratory Microbiologist with a working knowledge of quality systems in a laboratory environment to join our team. Candidates should be familiar with workflow planning to achieve deliverable commitments to customers, have experience with finished item reporting, and have a working knowledge of both regulatory and quality system requirements.
 

 
The position requires hands-on experience with the daily workings of a microbiological laboratory, in either a University or Industrial environment. The ideal candidate would possess a degree in microbiology with 2-5 years of experience. An advanced degree in a related life science would be considered along with appropriate working exposure to microbiological laboratory techniques. Some familiarity with ISO 9001 or 13485 quality system requirements is mandatory, as is a working level of expertise with Microsoft Office applications. Expertise with aseptic technique as applied to clinical or industrial testing protocols, and with the processes required to produce sterile medical devices would be a plus for any candidate applying for this position.
