    JOB TITLE: Loan Servicing & Processing Assistant (Part-time)

    SUMMARY

    Loan Servicing & Processing Assistant assists with assigned loan servicing, processing and closing functions and tasks.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

    • Inputs confidential customer information into loan servicing and client management system.

    • Follows up with clients to request missing or additional documentation.

    • Assists in preparing final loan package on first and second mortgage loans and down payment/closing cost assistance loans originated by NHS Phoenix.

    • Provides Loan Servicing Coordinator with a copy of promissory note, first payment letter and loan application to setup new loan accounts.

    • Assists in copying and shipping final loan packages to investors for sale of loans.

    • Prepares canceled and declined loan packages for storage and ensures compliance with any record retention regulations.

    • Assists Loan Servicing Coordinator with entering new loans into the Loanbase loan servicing system, and assists Coordinator with processing and posting client loan payments.

    • Performs other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High school graduate (with strong aptitude in basic math).

    At least three years of bookkeeping experience with knowledge of basic accounting principles, including processing and recording accounts payable and/or accounts receivable payments.

    Basic understanding of the mortgage loan process is helpful.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Strong spoken and written communication skills.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS

    Ability to deliver high quality customer service and work collaboratively across departmental lines.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Solid math skills in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Attention to detail while entering data into client management systems.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, DBase management and use of internal e-mail system.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Employee must present proof of automobile insurance coverage. Minimum liability limits shall be $100,000 bodily injury and $25,000 property damage coverage or such limits as deemed appropriate by the Chief Executive Officer.
