    Position Summary

    People Operations Intern performs responsible work in various assignments including recruitment, and other human resources functions. The incumbent in this class will be working with confidential, sensitive information and highly detailed systems.

    Responsibilities

    The work involves the application of professional knowledge and judgement. Coordinating, and implementing all human resources functions effectively. Focus areas will include:

    • Assist in the selection process including arranging background submission and follow-up; coordinate drug screen scheduling and compiling results; schedule and forward results of candidate assessments to hiring manager; prepare interview packages, offer letters and new hire packages and files.

    • Process various employee change requests to ensure accuracy and completion of changes/requests made in benefit websites and hardcopy files.

    • Assist in maintaining company intranet People Operations web page. Monitor, post and “tweet” to eICareers.

    • Format and post job descriptions to database.

    • Source and draft articles for company newsletter. Publish newsletter semi-monthly.

    • Provide general administrative support to the People Ops team; assist with special projects as required; create, implement and maintain various computerized confidential data bases and files as needed.
