BROAD FUNCTION:
The Merchandising Coordinator is a entry level position responsible for monitoring all product data changes and assist in any area necessary for the replenishment of product from suppliers. Report and compile data to maintain service levels and customer demand while minimizing capital investment in inventory.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate all tasks associated with new and updated product introductions and support product/supplier marketing strategies.
• Perform supplier price adjustments, product price and margin accuracy.
• Maintain all special pricing and monthly vendor promotions.
• Assist in the Replenishment of company supplies and perform requisitions from selected suppliers based on inventory, forecasts and system recommended quantities.
• Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships. Assist with service level and purchase history reports for internal measurements and to share data with vendor partners.
• Ensure that product ordering enables efficient distribution and work planning for shipping and receiving operations.
• Coordinate the introduction of new products across multiple departments.
• Reconcile supplier invoices and billing issues directly with distribution center and suppliers.
• Measure supplier fill rate, track backordered items and work with suppliers to expedite shipments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5 years of work experience in merchandising or supply chain function
• Experience in data management, purchasing, inventory planning and/or shipping operations
• College degree preferred.
• Financial acumen and strong analytical skills.
• Able to perform in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
• Strong MS Office skills, with advanced Excel knowledge and Sage systems
