JOB DECRIPTION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
A mid-sized regional law firm, based in Phoenix, Arizona (with offices in Denver, Sun City, Scottsdale and Grand Rapids), requires a Network Administrator. Responsibilities will consist of design, implementation, migration, maintenance and disaster recovery planning for a business-critical Microsoft Exchange 2003/2010 and Active Directory 2003 environment.Essential Job Functions:
• Support a Microsoft Exchange 2003/2010 environment in order to maintain high service levels
• Manage Windows 2000/2003/2008 servers and troubleshoot problems
• Manage Active Directory, DNS & Microsoft Exchange replication and backup processes
• Provide support for applications reliant upon Microsoft Exchange including Blackberry and Outlook clients
• Develop and maintain system documentation
• Design and implement solutions to improve disaster recovery capabilities for E-mail services
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and response
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all related hardware
• Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems
• Participate in on-call support rotationRequired Experience:
• 4 year BA or BS Degree.
• Minimum 4 years working experience and intimate proficiency with Microsoft Exchange 2003 (and beyond) administration and troubleshooting in a large-scale multi-site environment.
• Minimum 5 years working experience and expert knowledge of Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 3 years professional experience supporting, maintaining and administering core Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2003.
• Experience supporting mobile email devices such as Blackberry (and other, similar technologies)
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Very strong problem solving skills.Preferred: sound working knowledge of:
• Internet/Intranet technologies including security features.
• Network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP.
• Remote access technology.
• VMware (ESX/ESXi, vSphere)Familiarity in:
• Supporting, maintaining and administering Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008.
• SAN and Fiber Channel architecture
