New Restaurant Opening – All Staff Needed: Bartenders, Servers & Hosts (Scottsdale Quarter ~ North Scottsdale)

SOL Cocina is hiring IMMEDIATELY for all front of house staff. We have numerous opening for servers, hosts, busser/barbacks and food runners. We are currently in the process of interviewing, and will be hiring for all positions by next week.
SOL Cocina is a fast-paced, upscale restaurant featuring authentic Baja-inspired Mexican cuisine served in a fun, yet polished atmosphere. SOL Cocina’s unique menu offers simple, flavorful items inspired by the Baja peninsula and built around impeccably fresh seafood, premium meats and over 17 fresh salsas made daily. Our menu features Baja classics and innovative twists on Mexican favorites created by our James Beard Award nominated Chef Deborah Schneider. The SOL experience is not just about the food — we have a very unique personality. We’re sophisticated but casual. We reflect what’s happening on the Mexican food scene, but with our own twist, while respecting authenticity.
SOL’s creative bar menu features signature margaritas and cocktails that are true originals, each one made by hand to order. We make our margaritas with fresh-squeezed lime and citrus juices with a touch of sweetness, and hand-muddle fresh fruit and herbs for a perfect balance of flavor and character. Mexican beers, micheladas, bulldogs or a glass of wine from SOL’s coastal wine list pair beautifully with the food menu.
SOL Cocina is set to open at the Scottsdale Quarter on March 1, 2012. We are currently accepting resumes for all front of house positions. Please email a cover letter and resume. Event Coordinator/Private Dining Manager:
- Must have previous experience coordinating private dining events.
- Must have sales experience.
- Must be extremely organized and a self-starter.
- Must be familiar with writing BEO contracts.
- Must be able to work closely with the Chef to design custom menus.
- Previous experience with Mexican cuisine a ++
- Experience with OpenTable online reservations a ++Bartenders:
- Must be friendly, outgoing & knowledgeable.
- Must possess well-rounded knowledge of beer, wine & spirits. Tequila knowledge a ++
- Must have a minimum of 2 years current experience in a high-volume, full-service bar.
- This position involves a tremendous amount of food service.
- Must love to muddle.Servers:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years serving experience in full-service restaurant.
- Fine dining experience a ++
- Must possess above average knowledge of beer, wine & spirits. Tequila knowledge a ++
- Must be well-versed in all aspects of food service.Host/ess:
- Must have host experience in a full-service dining environment.
- Must have experience using the OpenTable online reservation system.
- Must be professional & friendly.Busser/Barback/Food Runner:
