Duties & Responsibilities:

Candidates must be able to demonstrate an experienced understanding of vehicle parts. Organization, excellent customer service skills, regular and reliable attendance, and the ability to follow detailed instructions are important and necessary components of this position.
<br>

• Read a printed work-order or invoice
<br>
• Distinguish different part types
<br>
• Accurately determine the condition and status of parts
<br>
• Accurately match the part requested on a work-order or invoice to the actual part
<br>
• Remove parts without damage to the part or the vehicle
<br>
• Know where to store pulled parts (will-call, delivery, warehouse, customer-waiting, etc.) and store parts so they do not become damaged or cause damage
<br>
• Accurately record pulled parts in a parts log
<br>
• Understand how to use a work-order board
<br>
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety standards and emergency procedure. Safely operate machinery and equipment (lifts, cutting equipment, engine tester, parts washer, tools, etc.)
<br>
• Demonstrate knowledge of proper handling and storage of hazardous materials (including solvents, oils, refrigerants, batteries, etc.)
<br>
• Know proper core and scrap procedures
<br>
• Know proper maintenance procedures (keeping the facility clean, including proper usage and storage of cleaning equipment and supplies)
<br>
• Demonstrate knowledge of labeling and stamping pulled parts (all parts are marked before leaving the facility
<br>
• Demonstrate ability to properly fill out forklift logs
<br>
• Must clean assigned work area daily
<br>
• Other duties as assigned
