Patent Research Project Docketing Manager
Role: Patent Research Project Docketing Manager (Full Time)
Function: To manage the inflow of projects and the assignment of work to available resources
Responsible to: Company Research Director
Duties and Responsibilities:
This person will report to the Research Director. Primary responsibility involves assisting with docketing projects from clients and the USPTO, and with de-docketing of action items from the docket system. Other responsibilities include updating information in the docket database, making adjustments to project assignments based upon changes in available resources and/or client and company priorities, communicating with customers and internal managers, and assisting with other various administrative duties.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
An enthusiastic and well-organized individual, the successful candidate will also possess very strong administrative skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ideal candidates should have some experience with docketing software and have strong communication skills. Working as part of a busy and successful team, you will need to be able to cope with a varied workload and work under pressure if required. Deadlines are paramount in our business, and you will often be the first and final step in meeting our client deadlines. You will need the ability to prioritize and organize you own work.Experience preferred:
• Previous administrative and/or project management experience
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work within deadlines
• Competent use of computers including all aspects of Microsoft Office
• Accurate work with figures and statistics
• Attention to detail regarding printed material
• Experience in using internet and email (Outlook experience is desired)
• Experience in dealing with the public and clients
• Previous Intellectual Property experience is preferredSalary dependent upon experience and qualifications.
