Pet Sitter Needed for Vacation/Business Travelers

We are currently seeking a professional pet sitter that has open availability. Monday-Sunday for morning visits between 7-10am, (occasional midday visits between 11am-2pm) and semi regular late afternoon visits between 3-6pm. Most visits are flexible upon arrival times, but not all. Some days you may have no visits, other days you may have 2-8 and on the Holidays you can have around 10 visits per day. Must be available for pet care visits on Holidays. Weekends are mandatory to meet client’s traveling schedule needs.

Details

This position consists of caring for client’s pet(s) and light duty home care while they travel for business or pleasure. The pet sitter would provide daily visits, fresh water, clean litter boxes, pick up dog waste, play with and love the animals, clean up after pets with other messes, check mail, pick up newspaper, take trash can to curb, light rotation, etc.

Visits are usually 30 minutes, but can be 60 minutes in length. Most dog owners require 2-3 visits a day, and cat clients usually 1-2 visits.

Must be passionate about animals and have experience in pet care.
Must be a reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated, and mature adult able to manage a schedule and follow through on all assignments.
Follow detailed instructions and understand the details regarding proceedures and policies
Have open availabilitye on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Have your own email account, daily access to a computer and printer.
Have a cell phone with you at all times (text capability is highly desired)
Be able to handle and solve unusual situations that may arise when dealing with clients, pets and people’s homes.
Have excellent references and solid work history
Pass a formal background check
Provide copy of driver’s license, auto insurance card, & SS card to company
Own a reliable & insured vehicle
Have a positive and friendly attitude
Have excellent customer service skills when both dealing with clients and pet sitting company staff, along with excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Must go to all professoinal pet sit visits alone. Can’t bring children, spouses, friends, pets, etc.
