JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Responsible for successfully launching and sustaining program requirements, fill rate, and inventory.
* develop specifications and analysis to balance the value of competing bids, carry out broad assignments usually involving the purchase of important and critical items.
* Interviews supplier representatives regarding specifications, costs, inspection, and similar problems relating to parts and equipment.
* Develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Negotiates contracts where losses, occurring through errors in judgment, would seriously impact company operations.
* Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
* Manufacturing Planning Background helpful. Selected candidate will interface with Engineering, Program Managers, and Suppliers etc.
* Experience using JD Edwards is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS:
* Bachelor Degree
* Minimum 8 years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
