Project Manager /Trafficking Specialist
 

 
Provide project management by organizing, setting deadlines, tracking and seeing through to completion all creative and other projects within the company.
 

 
Duties:
 

 
* Manages the overall written materials trafficking process from early stage development through review, production and distribution
 
* Traffics “jobs” including document flow, workload volumes, process performance management and issue resolution related to the process
 
* Identifies project scope; coordinates with management or others to identify goals, time frame, budget, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources
 
* Develops project plans including but not limited to goals, strategy, staffing, identification of risks, budget, resource requirements, and analysis of alternatives
 
* Develops, tracks, maintains, and manages project plan, budget, and timeline
 
* Maintains electronic inventory of work products produced
 

 
Qualifications:
 
* Bachelors in Journalism, English or similar field with 2 – 3 years experience in managing large-scale publications with a regular editorial cycle
 
* Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, confidently and professionally
 
* Impeccable writing, editing and proofreading skills
 
* High level of proficiency with PCs and MS Office programs; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and InDesign
 
* Comfortable with new technology, particularly digital communications
 
* Experience managing a team of writers, editors and designers
 
* Experienced managing external vendors (printers, media publishers, conferences, events)
