Responsibilities:
• Sample preparation of raw material
• Microbial testing of raw material and finished product
• Media preparation, storage, and inventory control
• Knowledge of manufacturing process and review of batch paperwork
• Ability to work independently and multi-task several projects
• Ability to function successfully as a contributing member of the QC team
• Adhere to all policies and procedures while performing job functions
• Utilize safe lab practices, aseptic techniques and maintain a clean working environment
• Maintain laboratory notebook with accurate records of work
• Perform autoclave and waste disposal duties
Requirements:
• Basic knowledge of microbiology
• Entry level position: 1-2+ years of relevant work experience, basic knowledge of vitamin and food production processes and quality control principles is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task several projects and ability to function in fast paced environment
• Physical requirements include occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• In-depth skill and understanding of MS Office
