Restaurant Assistant Manager (Chandler, AZ)

    Multi-store franchise restaurant operation is currently seeking an Assistant General Manager. Ideally, this candidate would speak fluent English and Spanish for clear and precise communication with all employees and customers.
    This hands-on management position requires you to work directly with the franchise owner, the general manager, restaurant employees, customers, and vendors. Duties include those listed below and other various tasks as assigned.

    DUTIES
    Principle Roles and Responsibilites:

    • Oversee and control the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.

    • Drive sales through excellent operations and marketing execution.

    • Recruit and manage employees. Provide guidance and motivation to staff members.

    • If applicable, supervise and/or direct orientation, on-the-job-training, in-service training and continuing education programs.

    • Create weekly staff schedules and ensure all employees are aware of such.

    • Ensure all shifts are covered despite individual employee circumstances.

    • Ensure compliance with Corporate Franchise policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

    • Ensure OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met.

    • Direct the purchasing, receiving, storing and preparing of food and related products.

    • Ensure the appropriate inventory levels, equipment maintenance and sanitation standards.

    • Establish and maintain effective client relations and customer satisfaction.

    • Analyze a variety of sales and trends in comparison to actuals.

    • Assist in marketing efforts including production and distribution of coupons, execution of customer surveys, placement of newspaper advertisements, etc.

    THIS POSITION REPORTS TO

    This role reports directly to the Owner/Managing Member of the franchise. This individual would also work very closely with the General Manager of Operations. Close contact would be maintained with the owner, by face to face discussion and/or regular phone conversations. Main communication would include updates on daily store proceeds, marketing initiatives, current and upcoming events throughout the valley and any Corporate updates/news that you will be receiving on a regular basis.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor’s Degree

    Availability/willingness to relocate to the Phoenix area. Assistance with relocation costs may be provided.

    Availability/willingness to attend the Corporate Franchise Training Course

    A minimum of 2 years of successful people management experience within a professional food establishment
