The SOUTHWEST REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY ACADEMY is providing training to obtain the Unarmed Arizona Security Guard Card to satisfy the requirements of Department of Public Safety. The class is taught by instructors that are certified by the Arizona Department of Education in Security Instruction and currently a college security and law enforcement instructor. The curriculum and presentation is an integration of 20 years of Arizona security management experience and an extensive formal education.

You will leave the class with the DPS required training certificate and application, photos, AND fingerprints. Once you complete the class you will be able to take the packet and attach your payment and submit to DPS for your guard card. This training fee DOES NOT include the cost for the security license that Department of Public Safety requires.

****THE SOUTHWEST REGIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY ACADEMY IS NOW PROVIDING TRAINING TO OBTAIN AN ARIZONA ARMED GUARD CARD****

The class is taught by instructors that are seasoned private security professionals that have actually worked and managed officers in the armed security industry. They understand and teach the skills needed to be an effective armed security officer. They will provide training on issues likely to be encountered by armed security guards while on duty. No egos, no medals, no ribbons, just quality training to keep you informed and safe!

This 16-hour armed security guard lesson plan is a firearms safety course, designed to teach the novice armed security officer the:

Basics of gun safety

Marksmanship

Maintenance

Familiarization

Legal issues related to the use of deadly physical force.

This class meets and exceeds the minimum requirements required by Arizona Department of Public Safety to certify armed guards to carry firearms after completing 16 hours of instruction which includes firearm qualification.

Due to class size limitations for safety, pre registration with deposit is required for all classes to secure seat in class. Once the registration and payment process is complete, you will receive complete class information.

****DON’T HAVE A GUN, NO PROBLEM! We have handguns and equipment you can rent!
