    The Senior Art Director collaborate with the CTO and Creative Director on the development of product design artwork and user experiences, and should be familiar with brand identity consistency and highly-engaging user experiences on mobile devices and web pages. The Senior Art Director’s role is to take the direction of the CTO and Creative Director and develop cutting-edge design, user experiences, and user-facing client technologies for the deployment of a new product platform representing a framework for digital content and sharing. This requires envisioning the specifications described in the company’s patents, product descriptions, and feature sets to lead the implementation of the all aspects of visual design, and user interface on web and mobile that comprise the company’s publication service product (Stremor).

    Ideal candidates will be either senior-level contributors on teams developing stunning design solutions and user interfaces for organic systems with a high degree online content. Minimum four years of experience as a senior digital designer, with a minimum of six years of total professional experience in online/digital creative arts.

    This position is on-site in our Phoenix, AZ offices. Relocation expenses and signing bonuses offered to highly-qualified individuals.

    Responsibilities: Strategy & Planning

    • In partnership with the company’s founders, Creative Director, and CTO, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s invention as a publication service for web, mobile, and future user platforms and convert the ideas and direction into deployable designs and artwork.
    • Participate as a member of the product development team in collaborative concept work that will represent a cutting edge user experience and stunning creative design.
    • Collaborate with the appropriate departments to develop creative designs and user-facing technologies that meet or exceeds the requirements of the content, technology, and marketing teams.

    Responsibilities: Implementation & Deployment

    • As a member of the art and design team, collaborate with other programmers and designers in the creative and technology departments, as well as provide an interface for short-term and long-term creative contractors.
    • Create artwork that degines the company’s brand identity in all media, and ensure the product design supports the brand in all ways.
    • Work in collaboration with the software development process, meeting short-term objectives and ensuring timely progress of required creative deliverables as defined by the selected software development methodology.
    • Ensure timely deployment of the product which will include collaborating with all employees developing user-facing technologies that support the UI/UX on all user platforms.

    Position Requirements: Formal Education & Certification>

    • University degree in the field of fine arts or design, or demonstrate significant equivalent professional experience.
    • Minimum four years of experience as a senior digital designer, with a minimum of six years of total professional experience in online/digital creative arts.

    Position Requirements: Knowledge & Experience

    • Demonstrated ability to envision design concepts that utilized next-generation technologies and services that meet user needs, solve business problems, and deploy a superior publication service product.
    • Significant experience with Photoshop and all other tools necessary to conceive, develop, and deploy required elements for marketing materials and product design.
    • Significant expertise with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, HTML5, and AJAX technologies.
    • Familiar with video production and editing for delivery via both HD and online streaming is a plus.
    • Ability to manipulate custom user interface code (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, HTML5, and AJAX) written by other members of the user experience team.
    • Knowledge of performance metrics and audience measurement architectures for web and mobile content services.
    • Experience with cloud-based deployment frameworks and high-demand infrastructure as it applies to the demands of deploying creative assets for web and mobile applications.
    • Familiarity with asset management versioning systems to ensure the correct creative assets are deployed, which iterative design concepts are retained for future consideration.
    • Ability to perform all job requirements within a fast-moving and nimble organization where serendipitous brain-storming may contribute to sudden or even significant alterations to the core deliverables of the publication service product.
    • Ability to convert abstract concepts into creative designs and deployable technologies.

    Compensation and Incentives

    • Compensation will be commensurate with experience and other attributes that contribute to the potential success of the company.
    • Position is full-time on payroll.
