Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer / Architect, you’ll help us translate our product vision into well-thought-out database designs and the applications that implement them.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Take new business requirements and devise an architecture / database design
- Look for the “real” problem that’s being solved, not just the one that it appears we need to solve
- Work with your colleagues to improve your designs and help them improve theirs
- Build out your designs into the corresponding Java classes and/or SQL
- Contribute wherever else your talents permit

Requirements

- You know Java (or some other modern procedural language) very well.
- You know SQL well enough that you’d be capable of picking up advanced SQL optimization techniques if you had the opportunity to learn about them
- You have at least 3 years of database design experience
- You appreciate beautiful code and beautiful design.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science
