Senior Software Engineer – PHP (San Francisco, CA)

Mashery is looking for talented application engineers to help build a web based product that helps API providers manage their web services and the community of developers that use them.

If you are passionate about good PHP software engineering and have worked on a team developing multi-tenant application software, Mashery wants to meet you!

Working with Mashery you’ll write software that’s used to manage the API’s of companies like Best Buy, Netflix, New York Times, Klout and many many others.

Our ideal candidate is someone actively engaged in software development communities, Open Source projects or projects of their own; where coding in collaboration with other engineers is a necessity. The principles of Agile development, coding standards, unit testing, documentation and communication are second nature to the individual we seek.

If you have background writing PHP code for Frameworks, CMS, Data Analysis Systems, Documentation Control Systems, white-labeled services or APIs, then Mashery wants to meet you! Requirements
Five or more years experience developing web based applications
Extensive object oriented programming skills
Excellent understanding of HTML, HTTP, CSS, and javascript with an interest in user interface design.
Strong familiarity with Mysql and PHP and at least one PHP MVC framework.
Fluent with at least one programming language other than PHP and Javascript, such as Python or Java.
Web Services development, Unit Testing, Automated Web UI Testing, CMS development, data visualization, CRM development, Open Social, Facebook application development, bulk email, SAML, OpenID or SSO experience is helpful
Developer community participation such as attending conferences, blogging, and forum participation is appreciated
Prior experience developing Software as a Service or multi-tenant products is desirable, as is prior experience working with enterprise level customers.
Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment is preferred.
Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience required.
