Solar Senior Foreman Electrical (Tucson)

    The Sr. Residential Foreman is a stated licensed general journeyman electrician and continues to maintain state licensing in good standing. They can call in building permit sign offs and may have to meet and walk through inspections and through the use of the NEC code references prove to inspectors the correct installation method. They understand shading, declination, and layout principles. They display strong leadership skills, enforces site safety, quality, and efficiency. They give good feedback to the engineers, Construction, Project, and Operations Managers. They are responsible for material control to and from a job. They are certified in CPR, First Aid, Fall Protection Systems, and all rental equipment used.

    The responsibilities associated with this opportunity are as follows:

  • Participate in required training programs
  • Conduct safety meetings
  • Perform daily safety evaluation of working conditions
  • Use and ensure the proper safety equipment for safe installation practices
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of code and be the “go-to” electrician in the branch
  • Install with the highest level of craftsmanship and workmanship
  • Check on progress of installers every hour throughout the installation to ensure that installer are installing correctly
  • Increase installation efficiency/productivity
  • Follow instructions of the Branch Construction Manager
  • Ensure installation vehicle has all materials, tools, and equipment to perform job safely and efficently
  • Follow Construction Job Flow Procedures
  • Responsible for all aspects of the safety, quality, and efficiency of the installation
  • Perform all installation duties of the Installer and Lead Installer
  • Perform service calls when necessary
  • Develop a strong working relationship between installation team and members
  • Maintain consistent and appropriate interface with customer throughout construction phase
  • Perform weekly vehicle inspection for proper tire pressures, oil level, working lights, etc…
  • Obtain customer payments and give payment to Construction or Project Manager
  • Ensure accuracy of your own and installers time sheet’s
  • Ensure all paperwork is turned in by required deadlines
  • Control materials to and from the job
  • Provide construct-ability feedback to engineering
  • Maintain excellent lines of communication

    Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hands on Solar Installation experience;
  • Poses or ability to obtain K-11 electricians license in the State of Arizona
  • Commercial and residential electrical experience preferred;
  • Follow instructions, clearly give instructions, learn quickly, and know when to ask questions.
  • Professional appearance and customer interaction.
  • Be a motivated team player, looking to succeed.
  • Have a strong work ethic high level of craftsmanship/workmanship (strong attention to detail).
  • Have a good driving record.
  • Oracle experience
  • Have basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Possess strong mechanical/construction skills.
  • Have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Have excellent verbal communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Have good people skills, able to manage, motivate and discipline when necessary.
  • Knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards.
  • Have CPR and First Aid certifications up to date and keep maintained for purposes of continued employment
