Carpathia Hosting Inc. is looking for a Network Field Engineer for our data center in Phoenix. In this role, you will be jointly responsible for the design, testing, and implementation of customer networks. This is a 6-9 month contract position which will pay an hourly rate based on the market conditions in Phoenix.

Responsibilities:
• Design cable layouts, switch layouts and provide clear documentation for the rack, stack and cabling of customer devices.
• Perform hands-on configuration of network equipment (switches / routers / firewalls / load balancers) for new customer implementations
• After hours provisioning maintenance & implementation support

Technical Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with the configuration and maintenance of routers and switches from Cisco, Juniper & Dell.
• Hands-on experience with the configuration and maintenance of Cisco & Juniper Firewalls.
• Practical experience in Data Centers with wiring, cable standards and optimizing rack layouts.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Software; MS Project, communications software, and Visio
• Experience working directly with external customers and vendors to put together an optimal design

Optional Qualifications
• Hands on experience with the configuration of F5 & Citrix load balances
• Hands on experience with the configuration of Cisco Chassis based routers & switches

General Qualifications:
• Cisco Certification at CCNA, Juniper JNCIA or equivalent
• Hardworking, focused, thorough, goal-oriented, and reliable
• Proficient at multi-tasking
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check
• Must be able to travel internationally if needed
