Global Financial Data (www.globalfinancialdata.com) provides a “Collection of Historical Data” to analysts from fund firms, banks and universities. GFD also develops Products and Services used to retrieve and analyze that data.
 
We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer with at least 3 years of ASP.NET/C# experience in the development of a proprietary Web-based Analysis Application to be directed towards our commercial clients. Previous experience with a financial application like Bloomberg or Thompson Reuters will be helpful but not necessary. Candidate must be self-motivated, hands-on, an efficient problem solver and communicate well within a small company environment.
 
This Engineering position is responsible for designing and maintaining a Web-based Application centered on Balancing Stock Portfolios and other Analysis of Financial and Economic Data. The Application is primarily written in ASP.NET using C# along with AJAX and some JavaScript. Experience with a large database application using MySQL or SQL Server is a plus along with some knowledge of PHP and CSS. Familiarity with Financial and Economic markets is a plus.
