We specialize in designing, fabricating and installing custom curtain walls, windows, skylights, sructural glass walls, and multiple types of entrances and doors. We are looking for an experienced, top-notch structural engineer with solid drafting, engineering and production management experience and the desire to lead and mentor draftsmen as well as production personnel in the fabrication department.

The ideal candidate possess a Structural Engineering degree, be a licensed PE in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas (or quickly be able to obtain these licenses), and have a minimum of 5 years structural design experience in the Aluminum Storefront, Glass and Glazing field. This candidate will have experience of using industry standard structural design software packages, and possess exellent communication skills both written and oral.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Create technical details to specify dimensions, materials and sometimes procedures required to complete an aluminum, glass and curtin wall project
Prepare shop drawings and optimized material cut lists for aluminum curtin wall systems utilizing AutoCad 2010
Prepare and stamp engineering calculations for aluminum storefront and curtin wall systems
Manage all aspects of the fabrication department including production, logistics, equipment maintenance, safety
Manage other AutoCad drafters and designers

Requirements:

Must be proficient in AutoCad versions 2000 through 2010
Must be capable of creating shop drawings in AutoCad 2010
Experience in the glass and glazing curtain wall, storefront, window wall industry for at least 5 years
Must be able to interact professionally with project managers, other drafters and fabrication personnel
A four year civil engineering, structural engineering, construction engineering, or construction technology degree
A structural engineering PE license in the states of Arizona , New Mexico and Texas is preferred
